About
the Peugeot Sport Club
 The
Peugeot Sport Club is officially recognised by the Peugeot Motor Company. We are
the only Sporting owners club in the UK to have permission from Peugeot France
HQ to use the Peugeot name and Sport Logo. The recent new Peugeot Sport Club Logo
designed by Peugeot themselves for the Club. Although independent of Peugeot both
financially and policy wise, we have continued to develop close links with Peugeots
marketing and competitions department and continue to build on this strong foundation.
Our aim is to breed enthusiasm for the Peugeot Marque. Club
Origins The Peugeot Sport Club was founded in 1985 when it was known as
the Peugeot GTI Club. The Club was started by Peugeot to help owners gain maximum
pleasure from their cars. In 1988 the organisation of the Club was handed over
to a small team of enthusiastic members who are Officers of the Club. With the
huge spectrum of models that Peugeot now manufacture, Club membership is open
to all Peugeot owners. The Club caters for all owners, from 106 to 806.
The support from Peugeot is still very extensive. Our President is Peugeot's
Motorsport manager, Mick Linford. Vice President is Alan Knight, Peugeot Special
Tuning. Former World Rally Champions Richard Burns and Robert Reid are both
members of the PSC. We have contacts to various people within Peugeot who are
able to help or advise, and afford us the chance to become more involved with
Peugeot activities. All 206 Super Cup competitors are members of the Peugeot
Sport Club.
Membership
of the Peugeot Sport Club is open to all motoring enthusiasts especially owners

Club magazine. This keeps members up to date with news in the Peugeot world. It
regularly includes road tests of new and modified models and hints and tips on
how to improve your car from other owners. On the Peugeot Sport side, there are
reports and updates on competition vehicles from the factory. National
Convention Every year the Club holds its National Convention at a prestigious
venue. Past venues include Silverstone Circuit and MIRA. Members are very fortunate
to be able to bring along their cars and participate in a variety of activities.
They can drive their car around a racing circuit, some of the members enter the
Concourse D'elegance and Sound Off competitions whilst others come along and look
around the trade and specialist stands. Members have the opportunity to buy parts
at special prices on this day, and most of all, meet hundreds of like-minded enthusiasts.
Discounts
Many Peugeot dealers offer discount on parts and labour on production of a valid
membership card. You could save the cost of your membership in just one visit
to your dealer. There are other outlets that offer discounts too and more savings
can be made by reading the Torque magazine. We currently have over 30 companies
on our discount register. Local
Group Meetings Many areas have regular meetings, which offer the chance
to meet like-minded enthusiasts socially. There is the chance to exchange ideas
and views at the meetings, which take place at a suitable venue. Torque magazine,
that you receive on joining, and our web site will have further information for
your area. If there isn't a local group in your area, the Club may be able to
help members start their own. Club
Merchandise Range An updated product range is soon to be released, incorporating
the latest designed and the Club logo. For your car, we have carpet maps with
a choice of logo, number plates, harness pads and window graphics, and for yourself
we have a range of sweatshirts, sportshirts, T-shirts, hats and a choice of jackets,
all in a range of colours. All products are good value and high quality, and are

In addition to the National Convention and Local Group meetings, there are other
opportunities to meet other enthusiasts. The Annual General Meeting is a chance
to hear more of the organisation of the Club. Small groups of members have the
opportunity to enjoy hospitality at the Motor Show, meet the Peugeot teams during
qualifying days and the chance to go on factory tours. The local group leaders
organise participation in many regional car shows during the year. Club
Insurance Scheme The Club has an arrangement with a specialist broker
who gives favourable quotes and service to our members. They do not guarantee
to be the cheapest but do offer excellent value for money, especially for modified
cars. They are also able to offer track cover for those interested in participating
in competitive events. In addition, if there is a dispute within the scheme, for
example a valuation, the Club can intervene and arbitrate and help the member.
